Great to meet you!

My approach to mental health care centers entirely around you. True healing happens when trust, safety, and collaboration come together. Whether you are navigating severe depression, managing long-term anxiety, or recovering from trauma, my goal is to provide a premium, supportive environment where you feel heard and empowered to reclaim a stable, fulfilling life.

As a board-certified adult psychiatrist, I bring unique depth to my clinical practice. I earned both my MD and PhD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, grounding my approach to medication management in advanced scientific research and evidence-based medicine.

My leadership and clinical training within the University of Texas Health System—including roles as Chief Resident, Assistant Medical Director, and Assistant Professor—deeply shaped my view of mental health. Having cared for individuals across institutions like MD Anderson, Memorial Hermann, the Dunn Behavioral Sciences Center, and Maui Memorial Medical Center, I possess the outpatient and inpatient expertise required to manage complex clinical cases with complete confidence.

I provide convenient, high-quality telepsychiatry and virtual care for adults (ages 18 and older) actively located in Texas, California, Hawaii, and Alaska.

Primary Clinical Focus Areas:

  • Mood Disorders: Advanced care for major depression, treatment-resistant depression, and bipolar disorder.
  • Anxiety & Stress: Targeted strategies for generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and high-stress professional burnout.
  • Trauma: Compassionate, evidence-based recovery and support for PTSD.

Above all, I believe in partnering with you as a collaborative ally. My practice is a safe, sophisticated space where clinical excellence is a given, and we work together to help you rediscover hope and transformation.

My approach to therapy

My approach to psychiatric care is deeply personalized, collaborative, and grounded in clinical excellence. I don't believe in rigid, one-size-fits-all treatments. Instead, I view you as the most critical member of the care team, and together we design a tailored treatment plan that aligns with your specific life circumstances and long-term wellness goals.

I balance advanced, evidence-based psychopharmacology with a comprehensive understanding of the mind-body connection. Rather than just treating isolated symptoms, I evaluate all biological, psychological, and lifestyle factors to uncover the root causes of your distress.

By blending sophisticated medical science with a warm, supportive therapeutic alliance, my goal is to walk alongside you as a trusted partner, helping you move past limitations and cultivate lasting, meaningful transformation.

What you can expect from me

Your initial consultation is a comprehensive, unhurried 60-minute session designed to build a deep understanding of your unique story, biological profile, and long-term wellness goals. Here is what you can expect during our first meeting:

  • Thorough Clinical Review: We will examine your detailed medical history, previous treatments, and current medications. Because of my background in molecular biology, I look closely at how your physical health, genetics, and biology interconnect with your mental well-being.
  • In-Depth Symptom & Lifestyle Discussion: You will have dedicated, collaborative space to share your immediate concerns and life stressors. We will evaluate critical lifestyle factors such as sleep architecture, daily energy, and professional burnout to understand the full scope of your day-to-day experience.
  • Collaborative Diagnostic Planning: If clinically indicated, I may integrate targeted laboratory work or advanced diagnostic screening to rule out underlying physiological factors and gain total medical clarity.
  • A Bespoke Care Plan: Before we conclude, we will co-create a personalized, evidence-based treatment plan. This may include precision medication management, strategic lifestyle modifications, or tailored therapeutic recommendations.

You will leave our first session with absolute clarity, a clear sense of clinical direction, and a true partnership in your mental health journey.
