Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome! I am a certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. With a background in diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric units, and community mental health, I specialize in treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions across the lifespan.

I earned my advanced nursing degrees from Walden University and my undergraduate degree at Eastern Virginia Career College and Grand Canyon University, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, holistic health, and integrative treatment planning. My approach focuses on building trusting relationships, actively listening to everyone’s concerns, and collaborating to create personalized treatment goals.

Whether you’re navigating chronic health conditions, struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorder, and other psychiatric disorders, or seeking support for stress or trauma, I aim to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where your voice is heard. I believe in treating the whole person mind, body, and spirit and am dedicated to helping you find balance, resilience, and improved quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered, collaborative, and grounded in both empathy and clinical expertise. I believe that mental health care is most effective when it's personalized. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. I take time to truly listen, understand your concerns, and work with you to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals, values, and lifestyle.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy. I emphasize education and transparency, making sure you feel informed and empowered in every decision we make together. I also recognize the importance of addressing the whole person body, mind, and environment and may incorporate lifestyle recommendations or referrals for therapy when appropriate.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my primary goal is to get to know you, who you are, what you're experiencing, and what you hope to gain from treatment. This initial appointment is typically a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, where we’ll discuss your current symptoms, mental health history, medical background, lifestyle, and any previous treatments you’ve tried.

I create a space that is welcoming, nonjudgmental, and collaborative, so you can feel safe and supported while sharing your story at your own pace. There’s no pressure. We go at a speed that feels comfortable for you.

By the end of the first session, we’ll work together to:

  • Clarify your main concerns and goals for treatment
  • Discuss potential diagnoses (if appropriate)
  • Explore treatment options, including medication and/or therapy
  • Begin developing a personalized care plan that aligns with your needs and preferences

My approach is grounded in respect, honesty, and transparency. I believe in shared decision-making, and I’ll always ensure you feel informed and empowered throughout the process.
