Great to meet you!
I've been a therapist for 43 years. In that time, I've sat with hundreds of adults who came in exhausted, skeptical, or not sure what to say — and left with language for things they'd been carrying for decades. I'm a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) trained at Wayne State University, and I specialize in anxiety, PTSD, family conflict, depression, grief, ADHD, OCD, and the particular kind of stress that doesn't show up neatly on a symptom list.
I'm also a Black woman, and I bring that lived understanding into the room. Whether or not you share that background, knowing you're working with someone who understands what cultural context feels like in the body matters, and it shows up in how I listen and what I notice.
I don't do generic therapy. I pay attention to who you actually are, what you've already tried, and where you genuinely want to go. Then we build toward that - practically, specifically, and on your timeline.
