Great to meet you!

You present well. You manage. And underneath that, something is quietly falling apart. I work with high-functioning people carrying more than they let on. My specialties are as varied as my incredible clients: traumatic brain injury and other acquired neurological injury (brain tumors, tinnitus, single sided deafness), anxiety disorders, major depressive disorder, adjustment and career counseling for individuals with and without disabilities, supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and optimizing ADHD-related symptoms. All services provide trauma-informed, empowering care. I have worked in the helping professions for over two decades and am comfortable with all ages and conditions who have a lot to say. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me to discuss during your free consultation if I can help with something specific that you do not see listed here. My approach is guided by empathy, professionalism, and evidence-informed care. I hold a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling (2020) and am independently licensed in Idaho and Ohio.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach pivots to meet you where you are, what you want, and what we decide you need. We integrate Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Flash Technique (as clinically effective as EMDR, but non-invasive), Hypnotherapy, Attachment Theory, Existentialism, Spiritual/Religious Trauma and Cult Recovery, and more. I utilize a strengths-based, evidence-informed framework to support clients in developing their strategy to reduce stress, improve sleep, enhance/establish healthy coping skills, enhance self-awareness, foster resilience, and attain your dream job, even if you have a chronic illness or catastrophic disability. Treatment is tailored to your needs, with a focus on promoting balance, emotional well-being, and healthier relationships. You will always end your sessions feeling seen, heard, respected.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to leave your first session feeling validated, more hopeful for the future, and more relaxed. We identify practical strategies for navigating the inevitable difficulties that weigh you down and cause the most stress. In addition, you will feel reassured that working with me in therapy provides safe opportunities for increased self-understanding, improved coping abilities, and strengthened identity. You will experience relief in my ability to quickly strategize so we can navigate both short-term difficulties and work toward long-term growth. We will create a treatment plan that is rooted in science but in practice feels as comfortable as spending time with someone who believes in you, no matter what.
