Great to meet you!

Originally from Liberia, I grew up in Columbia, MD. Considering my culturally diverse background I am a natural advocate for people from all walks of life. Each person deserves to reach their fullest potential and I’ve dedicated my life, through counseling and supporting counselors, to reach the marginalized, so they have a voice and are able to be seen, heard, respected, and represented. My moto is empowerment through education, self-awareness, growth and inspiration. We are all valuable members of society, sometimes we just need guidance and support with finding our way.

I have my LCPC (MD) and LPC (VA) and received my MA from Hampton University spending over a decade in the social work field in the inner cities helping under-privileged children and families obtain goals and resources in hopes of reaching their fullest potential. As a primary therapist for a national eating disorder facility, I helped young women gain purpose in their lives by positioning them to become empowered and hopeful about their futures. I also worked as a care advocate for a national insurance company helping clients get access to counseling services for substance use addictions and in-patient care.

I want to get to know you and hear your story. Reach out and let’s get your voice back so you can be heard, empowered, and ultimately live your best life!

My approach to therapy

I have an eclectic range of therapeutic modalities and use the best fit for my clients. My specialties are CBT, behavioral therapy, DBT, and person centered. I have worked with a myriad of diagnosis to include ADHD, Conduct Disorder, Depression and Anxiety Disorders, Eating Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Personality Disorders, and all types of Psychosis Disorders. With many years of experience with individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy and as a clinical supervisor; helping people is my passion. I am a firm believer, though our disorders are a part of who we are; they do not define us. Everyone is neuro-divergent in their own way. We just have to learn how to express ourselves in a way where we can be well received. We can also embrace one another’s differences so we can live in a world that’s culturally rich and willing to learn from the values and differences we contribute.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me will be an opportunity to gain rapport and alliance. I want to earn your trust. My goal, ultimately, will be to gain an understanding of what your treatment goals are and what led you to treatment so we can work together for you to accomplish those goals. I will also set expectations for treatment and allow any questions for you to get to know me better.
