Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience committed to helping people cope through difficult times in their lives. As a therapist in both Virginia and North Carolina, I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychology from UNC Chapel Hill and master's in social work from East Carolina University. Throughout my career, I have worked as an outpatient therapist and in hospitals, helping those in the oncology and palliative care setting.

My approach to therapy

I use a client-centered, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to help each person realize and reach their own, individual goals. I have additional training in ACT, CBT, DBT, along with a specialty certification in oncology social work. I specialize in working with adults impacted by illness, struggling with grief, anxiety, depression, and difficult life transitions.

What you can expect from me

It takes a lot of courage to reach out to a therapist and I appreciate your strength in doing so! Everyone is different and my goal is to help you reach your goals. Let's work together to come up with a plan that is right for you!
