Great to meet you!

Yay, diva, you found me! My name is Elena (she/her) and I am a queer, white, neurodivergent therapist. I received my Masters in Nature Based Therapy and have specializations in working with queer folks, those feeling burnout amongst late stage capitalism, eco-anxiety, grief & loss, religious trauma, and survivors of the "Troubled Teen" Industry.

I use humor and a strength-based, compassionate approach to create as safe of a therapy space as I can for my clients!

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy from a relational, compassion focused, and anti-oppressive lens. I show up as a real human in sessions and work with my clients to collaboratively build our therapeutic relationship. I use humor and warmth in order to get to know each individual client and creatively pull from a variety of modalities to find what will best support them. I also am quick to identify when there is something at play that was never the client's burden to carry - such as shame or guilt stemmed from oppression.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be just two humans getting to know each other a bit. Go ahead and check your expectations of what you think a therapy session "should" or "has to" be! I don't expect you to share everything with me just because I am a therapist - I want to earn your trust over time. We will discuss what you need to feel as safe and held as possible and go over goals for our time together. We will also discuss accessibility concerns as well as my beliefs and practices within the realm of decolonizing therapy.
