Elise Fernandez

Welcome! I am Elise Milagros Fernandez. Bienvenidos! Yo soy Elise Milagros Fernandez. I am currently licensed in Connecticut, North and South Carolina, as a Christian faith-based, bilingual and bicultural, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I have dedicated the past 15 years of my career to helping children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in addressing different challenges around mental health and wellness.

Since obtaining my Masters Degree, I have held multiple clinical positions with a variety of behalvioral health organizations, where I have gained extensive experience working with people with dual diagnoses, substance abuse, affective disorders, personality disorders and self-harming behaviors. I also have professional counseling experience working as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, with a focus working with clients with multiple disabilities, assisting them with obtaining, maintaining, and retaining employment.

I am maintly trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, along with continuing my education around domestic violence and additional trauma-informed therapies to support clients with a history of intimate partner violence and trauma.

Throughout my career, I have enjoyed and excelled at helping to empower clients to live better, more meaningful lives, by helping them focus first on inner growth and self-improvement.
