Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Counselor providing both virtual and in-person therapy to clients in South Carolina, and virtual services exclusively for residents of North Carolina. I view therapy as a collaborative process, designed to empower you with the tools for self-awareness, personal growth, and meaningful change. With over 25 years of experience in the human services field, I have supported youth and adults from diverse backgrounds in navigating a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges.

My approach to therapy

I integrate a variety of evidence-based modalities to best support your unique needs and goals, including:

  • Person-Centered Therapy – This approach creates a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and accepted. The therapeutic relationship is central, and your lived experience guides the direction of our work.
  • Relational Therapy – I place a strong emphasis on the importance of healthy, meaningful relationships—both within and outside of the therapy room. We will explore how past and present relationships shape your identity and emotional well-being.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) – This forward-thinking approach helps identify your strengths and resources, focusing on what’s working and how to build on that to create lasting change in a short amount of time.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – This structured, goal-oriented method helps you identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and take practical steps toward improving your mental health.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – ACT supports you in embracing your thoughts and feelings without judgment while committing to behaviors that align with your core values and lead to a more meaningful life.
  • During your initial session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress.

What you can expect from me

From your very first session, you can expect a compassionate, collaborative environment where your voice matters. We’ll begin by building a trusting relationship and gaining a deeper understanding of your current challenges. Together, we’ll identify clear goals, explore what matters most to you, and tailor a plan using the treatment approaches that best support your journey. Whether you're navigating anxiety, life transitions, trauma, or relationship difficulties, our work will focus on building insight, resilience, and long-term well-being. Each session is designed to meet you where you are and help you move forward with confidence and clarity.
