Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Ellie and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Therapy is a process of self-discovery. My goal for each session is to create a warm, approachable, and safe environment in which clients feel heard, understood, and empowered exploring and addressing issues in therapy, while cultivating self-awareness and healthy coping skills. In my practice, I work to build a caring, authentic, and collaborative client-therapist relationship as I believe fostering and nurturing the therapeutic alliance is the catalyst and essential for achieving and experiencing positive, lasting change in your relationships and life. Some of my areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, depression and anxiety, adjustment disorders, personality disorders, women’s issues, relationship/marital issues, parent-child conflict, hoarding disorder, PTSD and trauma, self-harm and suicidal ideation, attachment issues, eating disorders, self-esteem and body image issues, and grief and loss. The therapy process allows clients to identify and reach their goals and aspirations, find more meaning and purpose and effectively cope with challenging emotions, stress, and adversity. I believe in the healing and change that therapy brings people and believe in the power of tapping into the creative and deeper part of self that promotes true growth.

My approach to therapy

I believe that every individual possesses inherent strengths, resilience, and the capacity for growth. What sets my therapeutic approach apart is my commitment to meeting each client exactly where they are, honoring their unique experiences, values, and personal journey without judgment. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, I take a holistic, person-centered approach that considers the interconnected biological, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of life. I recognize that emotional well-being is shaped by many factors, and I work collaboratively with clients to understand the full context of their experiences. My therapeutic style combines warmth, authenticity, and clinical expertise to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore challenges, develop insight, and create meaningful change. I value the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for healing and strive to cultivate a space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I am particularly passionate about helping individuals identify their strengths, build resilience, and develop practical tools for navigating life's transitions, stressors, and emotional challenges. Whether you are seeking support during a difficult season, working through past experiences, or pursuing personal growth, I am committed to walking alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and respect. Together, we will create a therapeutic experience tailored to your needs, goals, and values, fostering greater self-awareness, healing, and lasting well-being.

What you can expect from me

I believe therapy is most effective when you feel seen, heard, and accepted. From our very first meeting, I will meet you where you are and warmly welcome you as you are. There is no expectation to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can share your experiences at your own pace. During our initial session, I will complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial-spiritual assessment. This process helps us gain a holistic understanding of your life experiences, strengths, challenges, and current concerns. Together, we will explore important aspects of your history, including biological, psychological, social, and spiritual influences throughout your lifespan. The assessment may include discussion of topics such as: Physical health and medical history, Emotional and mental health experiences, Family relationships and support systems, Cultural/social/environmental influences, Educational and occupational experiences, Personal values/beliefs/spiritual practices, and Significant life events/stressors/sources of resilience. By gathering this information, we can better understand how your past experiences and current circumstances may be impacting your well-being today. This collaborative process allows us to identify your goals, recognize your strengths, and begin developing a personalized path forward. Most importantly, the first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, build a foundation of trust, and begin exploring what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life. Together, we will work toward greater insight, healing, growth, and meaningful change.
