I have a doctoral degree in Psychology & over thirty years of experience in providing counseling & psychotherapy to individuals with a wide variety of concerns. I have provided treatment to individuals ranging in age from childhood to older adults. Most of my clients have said that they feel accepted, validated, & hopeful after working with me. My training & expertise includes working with issues such as depression, anxiety, problems with attention & concentration, addiction, & adjustment to transitions & phase of life difficulties, & recovery from traumatic experiences. My goal is to assist clients in exploring their potential for growth & wholeness in all areas of their lives including spirituality, relationships, career & educational goals, & recovery from adversity & self-limiting beliefs about themselves.

My approach to therapy

I strive to empower clients to believe in themselves & in their ability to solve the problems they are facing in life. Helping a person to find meaning & purpose in their lives is how I approach a therapeutic relationship. Exploring the areas that block happiness & fulfillment is the best way to help a person discover their strengths, unique challenges, & possibilities for change.

What you can expect from me

In the first session with clients, it is important to me to really get to know what their world is like. Getting to truly understand the person's unique challenges, needs, beliefs, & perspectives of themselves & others is the foundation of starting a solid approach to finding ways to improves their lives & help them believe that there is hope for change & recovery from emotional pain & obstacles to their fulfillment & enjoyment of life.
