Great to meet you!

For over 25 years, I've worked in education — as a classroom teacher, a college and career counselor, and now a Dean of Students, where I support K-8 students through conflict resolution, relationship mediation, and social-emotional skill building, all through a restorative lens. This work has given me a deep, hands-on understanding of how early patterns of relating, coping, and self-regulating take shape — and how they follow us into adulthood if left unexamined.

I bring this same lens to my clinical work as an LPCC, helping adults understand the root of what's keeping them stuck and build the tools to move forward. I'm fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and I offer services in both languages.

My approach to therapy

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you access the insight and wisdom you already carry, not to hand you a formula or a generic set of steps. Together, we look beneath surface-level symptoms to understand the deeper patterns, often rooted in childhood, that keep you feeling stuck or reactive. Rather than pushing those patterns away, we get curious about them: what they were originally protecting you from, and what they need now in order to loosen their grip.

I also believe real, lasting change engages the whole person, not just the mind. That means paying attention to how the body holds stress and patterns, and supporting you in exploring practices, whether physical, contemplative, or spiritual in whatever form fits you, that help ground and sustain the changes we work toward. My approach is collaborative and works at your pace, with sessions structured around direction and intention rather than open-ended venting.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know you and starting to build a foundation of trust. We'll go through a biopsychosocial intake together, giving me a full picture of your history, current life, and what's brought you to therapy now. From there, we'll talk about your goals: what you're hoping will feel different, and what progress might look like for you.

Just as important as the information we gather is the relationship we begin building. My goal for our first session is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful, with a clearer sense that real improvement is possible and that we have a genuine starting point for working toward it together.
