Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, relationship challenges, past trauma, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, my goal is to help you gain clarity, develop healthier patterns, and feel more confident navigating life's challenges.

As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina, I work with adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, relationship and attachment concerns, trauma, depression, and significant life transitions. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), tailoring treatment to each individual's needs.

I believe meaningful change comes from developing greater self-awareness, understanding the patterns that keep us feeling stuck, and learning practical tools to move forward. I strive to create a comfortable, authentic therapeutic relationship where you can explore difficult emotions, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and build lasting resilience.

Therapy isn't about becoming a different person. It's about understanding yourself more deeply and creating a life that feels healthier, more balanced, and more fulfilling.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with feeling understood. I strive to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where you can be yourself, explore difficult emotions, and gain a deeper understanding of the patterns influencing your thoughts, feelings, and relationships.

I believe therapy should be more than simply talking about problems. Together, we'll work to identify what's keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. I incorporate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), while tailoring our work to your individual needs and goals.

My style is compassionate, direct, and interactive. I'll listen and support you, but I'll also ask thoughtful questions, offer honest feedback, and gently challenge perspectives or behaviors that may no longer be serving you. My goal is to help you build greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and confidence in navigating life's challenges.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you're unsure where to begin or what to expect. My goal is to help you feel at ease, heard, and supported from the start.

We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore any challenges you're experiencing, and discuss what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll ask questions to better understand your background, relationships, and experiences, but there's no pressure to share everything at once. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process, so we'll begin identifying your goals and discussing how we can work toward them. You can expect a genuine, down-to-earth conversation where curiosity, compassion, and honest communication guide our work. Most importantly, I want you to leave our first session feeling understood, hopeful, and confident about taking the next step.
