Great to meet you!

I believe we have more in common than we have differences. I believe in paradox - we cannot know intense joy without suffering. We can be doing the best we can and also need to do better. I love stories, and I believe you are the narrator and expert of your life. I will be the funny, sometimes annoying, and ever loyal sidekick to you as the main character. I believe in the healing power of human connection. Therapy, like surgery, cannot be done on one's self; and I make a point to continue my own personal growth. I believe in providing my clients a safe space to bring their entire self and explore this strange journey we call life.

My approach to therapy

I am trained in various approaches to therapy including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), Trust based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and BrainSpotting. Since attaining my license in 2018, I have spent most of my career working in community mental health focusing on adolescents and teens with trauma and attachment challenges. These were mostly in foster care, adoption, and school settings. Through my EMDR certification, I transitioned to working with adults also struggling with challenges related to their inner teenage self. While working with me, you will find a compassionate, knowledgeable approach rooted in body-based techniques and practical applications. We will remind or teach your body what it is like to live without your traumas and reconnect with yourself, others, and the world we live in.

What you can expect from me

Have you experienced a trauma or an experience that overwhelmed your nervous system prompting responses that felt out of your control? Whether the experience is small, big, complicated, or straight forward, I am passionate about supporting your body, brain, and heart in processing through the story. Trauma lives in our bodies and the stories we tell. I look forward to supporting you in moving through your memories and becoming a more free version of you.
