Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Ellen! I believe everyone has the ability to grow when given the right tools and support - no matter where they are in life. Whether we are navigating difficult emotions, life transitions, relationships, or the everyday stressors of life. I have a Master's in Counseling Psychology and 28 years of working with adults, teens, children and families.

I believe that at the core of all us is a desire to feel connected. Many things in life contribute to a feeling of disconnection, including substance use disorder, trauma, or communication problems within relationships. I think the answers are already within each of us.

My approach to therapy

I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you can be seen, heard and supported. I use evidence-based treatment approaches that are trauma informed and designed to. meet your individual needs. I have had success with narrative therapy (telling your story), cognitive behavioral therapy (challenging your non-productive beliefs and thoughts), solution-focused therapy (short term) and somatic therapy.

What you can expect from me

I believe in fostering a deeply caring, non-judgmental atmosphere where you can feel heard, seen and supported. I meet people where they are and together, our work involved making incremental changes that improve your life.
