Great to meet you!

With 21 years of experience as a psychotherapist, I have supported individuals, couples, and families in areas such as relationship dynamics, self-efficacy, cognitive and emotional management, personal development, ADHD, and the treatment of anxiety and depression. My clinical approach is collaborative, direct, and designed to foster open communication in a straightforward manner. I strive to be approachable, receptive, and engaging, ensuring that my interpersonal style complements my professional expertise, empathy, and commitment to client empowerment. Through understanding clients' unique needs and implementing suitable interventions, I promote positive therapeutic outcomes.

I earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University later in life, which allows me to integrate my personal experiences with my extensive clinical knowledge. I aim to create a secure environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns. By actively listening and working collaboratively, I sometimes take on a coaching role, assisting clients in building the skills necessary to navigate life's transitions and achieve their goals.

My approach to therapy

The cornerstone of my practice is attentive listening, empathy and needs-based goal setting. My clinical experiences consistently reveal the importance of emotional awareness and regulation in managing behavior, relationships, and decision-making. A focus on developing these competencies supports clients in overcoming obstacles and realizing their potential.

What you can expect from me

Prospective clients are invited to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation to determine if my services and style align with their needs. I appreciate the significance of establishing a therapeutic rapport and am available to address questions regarding my methods, experience, and interventions.

New clients can expect a welcoming and engaged therapeutic process. Together, we will compile a thorough history, arrive at an accurate diagnosis, and develop a tailored treatment plan comprising goals, objectives, and interventions. My objective is to assist clients in articulating their aspirations, identifying challenges, and cultivating the skills necessary to become the individuals they aspire to be.
