Great to meet you!

As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I believe mental health care should be collaborative and centered on who you are as an individual. I support adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, mood disorders, and more. Through trauma-informed care, evidence-based practices, individualized treatment plans, comprehensive medication management, and therapeutic support, I create a judgment-free space where we can show up authentically and work together toward meaningful progress. My background includes experience as an outpatient psychiatric provider, inpatient psychiatric registered nurse, and in community reproductive health, allowing me to bring a broad and well-rounded perspective to the care I provide. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology, which have shaped my understanding of the many varying factors that impact mental health.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is rooted in building a trusting, collaborative relationship where patients feel heard and empowered. I provide trauma-informed, patient-centered care by taking the time to understand each person's unique experiences, concerns, strengths, and goals while meeting them where they are. I believe mental health treatment should be a partnership. I work with patients to develop individualized plans using evidence-based practices, thoughtful medication management, therapeutic support, and education to support their needs. My goal is to provide compassionate, relatable care that reduces stigma and helps each person feel supported throughout their mental health journey.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to be a welcoming and judgment-free opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting relationship. We will discuss what brought you in and what you hope to achieve through treatment, while also exploring your history, symptoms, and experiences to better understand the full picture. I will ask questions about different areas of your life and mental health, recognizing that some topics may feel difficult to discuss and that we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to ensure you feel this is your space so that you feel heard and actively involved in your care. Together, we will work toward developing an individualized plan that may include medication management, education, therapeutic support, holistic approaches, and other evidence-based strategies to support your goals and overall well-being.
