Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Elyse, I am licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor through the state of NH and hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rivier. My experience has mostly been with the “tween”, adolescent, and young adult population using a variety of solution focused, person-centered, DBT & CBT based approaches. Most recently I worked as a behavioral health clinician providing therapy to students within a high school setting. Prior to that I worked as a clinician on an assertive community treatment team for children and as a residential clinician with adolescents.

My approach to therapy

I am a huge believer in meeting people where they are at, and that therapy does not subscribe to a one size fits all approach. We will work together to find a treatment approach and develop goals that will work best for you! I believe that building a trusting relationship and showing unconditional positive regard are the cornerstones of any successful therapy experience. Of course, there is no “magic wand” that can work to resolve all the stressors in one’s life and therapy will require some hard work, but it will be a collaborative and supportive approach!

What you can expect from me

I believe the initial step in treatment is building rapport and a trusting therapeutic relationship. This goes hand in hand with collaborating to decide what it is that YOU want to work on, how would you like to see things be different, and what concrete and achievable steps you and I can take to get you there.
