Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Elyse Tavary, and I am a Licensed Therapist. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2022 and have been practicing since. As a therapist, I work from a variety of modalities, including arts-based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, and person-centered. I treat anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and life changes. I can also help with parenting stressors.

My approach to therapy

I genuinely believe that no matter who we are or what background we come from, we all need a little extra support from time to time. I am here to do just that. I would love to co-create a space of empowerment, safety, and healing with you. My therapeutic approach is one of empathy, gentleness, free of shame or judgment, and based on finding joy in life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will talk about your hopes for treatment and get to know each other. I like to keep the first session warm and inviting, as I know it can be intimidating to start therapy at times. I'm glad you are here!
