Great to meet you!

Feeling stuck, burned out, or unsure where to turn? My name is Emily Burdo (she/her), and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth. I work with individuals from all backgrounds and have particular experience supporting college students, LGBTQ+ clients, and those navigating trauma, burnout, imposter syndrome, anxiety, and major life transitions.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, personalized, and goal-oriented. Drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, art therapy interventions, and other evidence-based modalities, I help clients build practical skills while exploring meaningful change. Together, we will identify the next steps that best support your unique needs and goals.

What you can expect from me

As a therapist, I am interactive, expressive, and deeply invested in creating genuine therapeutic relationships. I strive to provide a welcoming, relaxed environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your story. Through thoughtful questions, curiosity, and occasional humor, I work to keep our space both supportive and authentic while maintaining the professionalism and care you deserve. I believe every person’s story matters. My goal is to help you feel seen, understood, and empowered as we work together to create lasting, meaningful change.
