Great to meet you!

I’m a welcoming therapist who believes therapy works best when you can show up as your whole self—no judgment, no need to have it all figured out. I’m direct when it’s helpful, and I believe a little humor can go a long way (yes, even in therapy). I love spending time outdoors, and I bring that same appreciation for curiosity, perspective, and connection into my work. Most importantly, I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and move toward the life you want.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in the belief that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health. I use an eclectic blend of therapeutic approaches, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, and some Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring interventions to each client’s needs, goals, and preferences. My primary focus is CBT, and I also have a special interest in grief and loss and incorporate grief-focused theories into my work. Together, we’ll identify what is and isn’t working, build practical skills, and create meaningful changes at a pace that feels manageable and authentic to you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin to understand what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re currently experiencing, what you’d like to work on, and what you hope to get out of therapy, while also discussing some background and context that may help me better understand your story. I’ll answer any questions you have about the therapy process and work with you to identify goals and potential approaches that feel like a good fit. Most importantly, there’s no expectation that you have everything figured out—I’ll meet you where you are, and we’ll take it from there.
