Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Emily Genever, a licensed clinical counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and evidence-based support. I have experience working with individuals facing anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and professional burnout. In addition to my counseling work, I’m passionate about mentoring future counselors, supporting first responders through my nonprofit, and helping professionals establish and grow their private practices.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward lasting change. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about your next steps, I’m here to walk alongside you with understanding and practical tools to help you move forward.

My approach to therapy

I take an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring each session to your unique needs. My counseling style combines Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Neuroscience psychoeducation, and mindfulness techniques to help you develop self-awareness, build resilience, and implement meaningful changes.

I believe that healing happens through collaboration. I focus on fostering a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and authenticity. Together, we will explore your experiences, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and develop strategies that align with your goals and values.

What you can expect from me

Through our work together, you can expect to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, develop effective coping skills, and feel more confident in managing life’s challenges. My goal is to help you cultivate resilience, self-compassion, and practical strategies that you can apply long after therapy ends.

You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here to support and guide you toward the life you want to create.
