Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Emily Stultz, a licensed clinical social worker with experience in clinical practice, teaching, and behavioral health research. I earned my Master of Social Work and a Doctor of Social Work, with a focus on military behavioral health.

My clinical background includes working with people experiencing trauma, PTSD, and substance use concerns, including veterans. I understand that these experiences can affect relationships, daily life, and the way you see yourself. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your experiences. We’ll take time to understand what matters to you, identify the changes you want to make, and find a path forward that fits your life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. I’ll explain how I work, review confidentiality and its limits, and make space for your questions. We’ll discuss what you’re hoping to change, but you won’t be expected to tell your whole story in one meeting.

My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being honest. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer sense of what you need, what you’d like to work toward, and whether working together feels like a good fit.
