Great to meet you!

I’m Emmanuel Garcia, a Mexican American therapist, first-generation college graduate, and founder of Radiate Hope Therapy. I specialize in supporting adults and adolescents navigating trauma, substance use, identity struggles, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with feel weighed down by emotions or uncertain about their direction, especially during sobriety or recovery.

Growing up, I witnessed how mental health was often stigmatized and silenced, especially for men in Latino communities. I know how isolating that silence can feel. My own journey through therapy and recovery taught me that true strength isn’t in staying quiet, it’s in showing up for yourself and beginning to heal. That lived experience shapes the empathy, understanding, and care I bring to every session.

My approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered and culturally informed, meaning I tailor each session to your needs and goals. I integrate DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-focused, and Narrative Therapy to create a space where you can manage stress, regulate emotions, and build resilience.

Therapy with me is collaborative and practical. Together, we explore your story, uncover patterns that may be holding you back, and develop tools for growth and healing. My focus is to honor your individuality while helping you:

• Navigate trauma and past wounds

• Manage anxiety, depression, or substance use

• Strengthen relationships and communication

• Explore identity and life transitions

• Build a more purposeful, meaningful life

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy is a brave step. In our first session, we’ll discuss your history, current challenges, and what you’d like to work toward. You’ll have space to ask questions, share openly, and see if we’re a good fit.

Over time, clients can expect to leave sessions with:

• Clarity and self-understanding

• Practical coping tools for managing emotions and stress

• Greater resilience and empowerment

• The ability to rewrite unhelpful narratives

• Support in breaking generational cycles and creating new ones

Therapy is more than problem-solving, it’s a commitment to yourself, an act of self-love, and a path toward healing. My role is to walk alongside you with care, understanding, and respect for your journey.
