Great to meet you!

Entela Kaba is a fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with experience working with adults, adolescents, and children. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arts in Tirana and completed a Master of Arts in Counseling, along with a post-master specialization in Mental Health Counseling, at Oakland University.

Entela works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, brain injuries, grief, and relationship-related concerns. She believes healing begins in a safe, supportive environment where clients are heard with dignity, respect, and without judgment. Her clinical approach integrates person-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapies to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs.

In addition to her clinical practice, Entela is highly engaged in community outreach and advocacy. She has served on numerous panels and organized seminars focused on mental health, domestic violence, suicide prevention, and substance abuse awareness and has been recognized with multiple awards for her contributions to the community. Entela has volunteered with organizations including Beaumont Hospital, Macomb County Crisis Center, the American Heart Association, and more. She also has served as a volunteer teacher and mentor at the Balkan American Center for twenty years, where she teaches the Albanian language and coordinates educational events in the community.

Outside of her professional work, Entela enjoys reading, playing the piano, and singing. She values quality time with her two children and enjoys walking her dog, Tedi.

My approach to therapy

My clinical approach integrates person-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapies and other modalities to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a calm supportive conversation focused on understanding what brings them to therapy and what they hope to change. We will talk about current challenges, strengths and goals and I will ask questions to better understand them. There is no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable, respected and hopeful as we begin working together.
