Eric Alfrey

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with multiple decades of experience in the mental/behavioral health field, ranging from direct care to executive management, I have come to understand how truly incredible people's stories are. I see my role as a therapist as being someone who can hop into the passenger seat for a bit and help reflect; provide a bit of a roadmap for some of the challenging turns on life's journey. My educational background includes multiple bachelor's and master's degrees, having completed my undergraduate at the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!) and graduate studies at Arizona State University (Summa Cum Laude, Fear the Fork!). Throughout my career I have worked with a highly diverse population of clients, including adolescents, adults, victims and survivors of trauma, clients in substance use disorder recovery, and individuals seeking clarity on cultural or gender specific needs. My objective is simple: I want to see you grow and succeed.

In terms of treatment philosophy, I utilize a collective model, employing a person-centered, integrated approach with use of Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skillsets, Psychodynamic and Existential Theory.

We are all human beings with value and a history that got us where we are today. A first session with me will look like an acknowledgment of your journey, with lots of active listening on my part so I can get to know what you're all about. I want to hear your story!
