Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ericka, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care for adolescents and adults. I work with people navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, OCD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, and major life transitions.

I know reaching out for psychiatric care can feel overwhelming, particularly if you’ve felt rushed, unheard, or uncertain about treatment in the past. My goal is to create a space where you can speak openly, ask questions, and feel genuinely involved in decisions about your care.

My approach to therapy

I take a whole-person approach to psychiatric care. Symptoms matter, but so do sleep, relationships, physical health, work, stress, lifestyle, past experiences, and the circumstances surrounding what you’re going through.

When medication may be helpful, I believe you deserve to understand why I’m recommending it, what alternatives exist, what to expect, and how we’ll know whether it’s working. Medication is one tool, but not the entirety of treatment.

Depending on your needs, our work may also incorporate supportive therapy, cognitive and behavioral strategies, mindfulness, education, and practical changes that can translate into everyday life.

Treatment is collaborative. I’ll bring clinical expertise and recommendations, while making room for your experiences, preferences, questions, and goals.

What you can expect from me

Our first appointment is intentionally comprehensive. Rather than focusing only on a checklist of symptoms, we’ll talk through what has been happening, when things began to change, your medical and psychiatric history, previous treatments, relationships and stressors, sleep and daily functioning, and what you hope will be different.

From there, I’ll share my clinical impressions and recommendations in plain language. We’ll discuss treatment options together, including medication when appropriate, and make a plan that feels both evidence-based and realistic for your life.

My goal is for you to leave our first appointment feeling heard, informed, and clearer about what comes next.
