Great to meet you!

Ericka E.S. Nelson is the CEO and Lead Psychotherapist of Course Correct Counseling. She developed this company with hopes of creating a more simpler approach to mental health to help individuals better understand themselves and how they can make the most of the journey ahead.

Ericka is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Washington, DC and Maryland and has been practicing for the past 10 years.

My approach to therapy

Ericka subscribes to utilizing a blend of Cognitive Behavioral, Gestalt, and Solution-Focused Therapy techniques to assist her clients in meeting their desired goals. She has been able to bring her relaxed, warm and inviting personality to the session, while creating a safe and non-judgmental space; encouraging clients to express themselves more openly and freely.

What you can expect from me

Ericka uses the theme of a road trip to help clients in understanding the journey ahead. Ericka plays the role as passenger in clients' vehicle on this journey through life giving guidance and tips along the way. Many clients walk away from sessions feeling comfortable to try out new tools in their toolbox to aide them on their journey.
