Great to meet you!

Only you can change yourself — my role is to walk alongside you with the tools and support to make that change possible.

I’m a medical social worker and therapist with over a decade of experience across pediatrics, child welfare, and adult medical care. I currently work on a neurology and stroke unit, helping families navigate complex medical crises with clarity and resilience — work that continues to shape how I show up for clients today.

My path started with a psychology degree and a graduate degree in social work, which led me into pediatric and child welfare roles with Baltimore County and Baltimore City schools, and later into medical social work at the University of Maryland Medical Center. I’ve worked in the ED completing adolescent psychiatric evaluations, on inpatient pediatric and adult medical-surgical units, and now specialize in inpatient neurology and stroke care. Alongside this hospital work, I’ve spent years as a therapist — both full-time and part-time — supporting adolescents, young adults, and aging adults living with serious and persistent mental health conditions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy

I take a strengths-based approach rooted in motivational interviewing, and I always respect your autonomy — you know yourself best. Together, we’ll create a warm, judgment-free space dedicated to reflection, growth, and personal development, at whatever pace feels right for you.

Where it’s helpful, I’ll bring in tools around personal accountability and responsibility, because building those skills is often part of practicing real autonomy. But the pace and direction are always yours to set.

Only you can change yourself — my role is to support and encourage you with the tools to do it.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, share our backgrounds and stories and make an initial assessment of whether we are a good fit for each other. This will include a psychosocial assessment, discussion about your interest in mental health treatment and identify preliminary goals.
