Dr. Erik Frost

I'm Dr. Erik Frost, a board-certified psychiatrist with over ten years of experience treating a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, and bipolar disorder. I attended medical school at the University of Colorado and psychiatric residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. At my practice, I provide comprehensive psychiatric medication management and evidence-based psychotherapy.

It's important to me to work with insurance providers. I work with most insurance providers in the DC, MD and VA area. My practice is fully virtual. As a result, I do NOT prescribe any "Controlled Substances" which often require an in-person provider. These medications include stimulant medications for ADHD, like Adderall and Ritalin, and benzodiazepines like Xanax and Ativan.

My approach to mental health care is straightforward, nonjudgmental, and compassionate. I believe in treating the whole person, not just a diagnosis, and I take the time to ensure my patients feel truly seen and heard.

I believe in collaborating with patients and empowering them to make informed decisions. I will discuss several options, which may include medications, talk therapy, or both, and will work with you to find the best option for you.
