Great to meet you!

I'm Dr. Erik Frost, a board-certified psychiatrist with over ten years of experience treating a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, and bipolar disorder. I attended medical school at the University of Colorado and psychiatric residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. At my practice, I provide comprehensive psychiatric medication management and evidence-based psychotherapy.

It's important to me to work with insurance providers. I work with most insurance providers in the DC, MD and VA area. I use Headway for insurance and billing, but will schedule our visits through a separate platform. For detailed scheduling instructions, please see my website: curatementalhealth.com

My practice is fully virtual. As a result, I do NOT prescribe any "Controlled Substances" which often require an in-person provider. These medications include stimulant medications for ADHD, like Adderall and Ritalin, and benzodiazepines like Xanax and Ativan.

My approach to therapy

My approach to mental health care is straightforward, nonjudgmental, and compassionate. I believe in treating the whole person, not just a diagnosis, and I take the time to ensure my patients feel truly seen and heard.

What you can expect from me

I believe in collaborating with patients and empowering them to make informed decisions. I will discuss several options, which may include medications, talk therapy, or both, and will work with you to find the best option for you.
