Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Erin Smith. I have my PhD in clinical psychology and have been practicing full time since 2010. I enjoy working with a wide range of individuals, but particularly specialize in family therapy, child/adolescent psychology, trauma, and addressing relationship concerns.

My approach to therapy

I like to collaborate with my clients to determine how to apply research-proven techniques in their lives to help reduce difficulties and increase quality of life. I view myself as a toolbox and sounding board to help support you in working through your concerns. I value client feedback and work to tailor my approach to what works best for each client/family. I look forward to meeting you and seeing how I can best support you.

What you can expect from me

I try to make sure that each session, someone leaves with something practical that they can try over the next week to address their concerns. Then, I like to check in at the beginning of the following session to see if this was helpful or not; and use this information to help direct where we go next. Sessions are for you - I want to make sure you have time and space to talk about what is most pressing in your life, and also leave with something valuable.
