Great to meet you!

I completed my Bachelor's of Science in Social Work at The Ohio State University and my Master's of Art in Music Therapy and Counseling at Drexel University. Additionally, I completed my internship at the Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine in 2020, where I worked with patients and their families in palliative care, inpatient psych, NICU, and the outpatient clinic. Originally hailing from Ohio, I have practiced in Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago, and now reside in Portland, Oregon. Upon moving to Oregon, I worked with adolescents in a day treatment program for two years before beginning my work at Stronger Oregon and eventually beginning private practice. I specialize in working with youth and adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, and complex trauma.

My approach to therapy

A board-certified music therapist and licensed professional counselor, I utilize music with therapeutic intention to build resilience, community, and critical engagement. Additionally, I utilize talk therapy to connect with clients, offering a space for verbal processing and conversation. Adopting both a Relational and Systems Theory approach, I strive to meet the client where they are at in order to collaborate on treatment goals and interventions.

What you can expect from me

One thing I know is that our day-to-day lives can be difficult, stressful, and complex. So of course, we will be impacted on some level by the systems around us. It is a part of what makes us human! I truly believe that a deeper understanding our emotions and experiences can help us move through whatever we face. Having the skills and the community to help us navigate difficult moments is possible! It is truly an honor to be a part of that journey with clients.
