Great to meet you!

Eva Pechin (she/her) holds an MS from Loyola University in Clinical Psychology. She utilizes an eclectic approach in order to treat clients with a combination of modalities to meet their individual needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, self-esteem building, mindfulness and relaxation training, and support. She strives to create a professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals of all races, cultures, ethnicities, and sexual orientations to accomplish their mental health, wellness, education, and career goals.

My approach to therapy

Eva has over 14 years of experience working with adolescents and adults with a history of head injury and subsequent cognitive decline, changes in mood, and personality, and specializes in working with adolescents and adults who suffer from chronic medical conditions such as autoimmune conditions, dysautonomia, and chronic pain and fatigue. She has extensive experience in the use of neurofeedback in order to treat children and adults of all ages with symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood dysregulation, PTSD, insomnia, ADHD, and cognitive dysfunction relative to head injury, possible side effects from medications, or age-related decline. She has also worked with adolescents and adults with eating disorders in both inpatient and intensive outpatient settings. Additionally, Eva has a soft spot for adolescents and adults on the Autism spectrum, as well as self-proclaimed ‘nerds’ and ‘misfits,’ providing them with the support and skills they need to fulfill their goals and to improve functioning in what can often be a critical and judgmental world.

What you can expect from me

Eva provides a safe, inviting, and comfortable space where she works collaboratively with clients; identifying goals and the treatment approach that would likely be the best fit. Psychoeducation and normalization are often provided on symptoms and how this directly ties into brainwave activity. Knowing there is often a physiological/neurological component to client's symptoms can give them a greater sense of control and hope for change.
