Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Eva Watts, a seasoned Psychotherapist with 30 years of professional experience. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, in addition several other professional certifications that allows me to utilize a wide variety of treatment modalities to promote change and assist with achieving positive outcomes and would like the opportunity to guide you on your path towards being the best possible you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to Therapy is eclectic, which means in plain language is that I use a variety of treatment approaches to reach my clients, no matter their situation or circumstance. This enables me to work with any client during whatever situations they might encounter or need assistance with resolving. My job and the goal is to help you improve your situation by addressing your concerns, offering suggestions and support to address them no matter what they are. This may mean that I have to refer you, possibly, to another service or a higher level of care if indicated during the assessment period which I will discuss with you upon completion of the assessment. I will discuss the next steps which includes developing a treatment plan with goals that you want to achieve and will develop intervention to assist with that. The treatment plan is a fluid document, which means, that we can make adjustments to the treatment plan whenever necessary. Upon completion of the treatment plan, we can add goals once the initial goals have been achieved or the goal is no longer an issue. Sometimes we will keep the goals, but change the interventions to more effective ones to build on the skills developed during the initial treatment plan.

What you can expect from me

One thing my clients can always count to come away from a session with me is this, homework. I assign homework as a therapeutic tool that will allow you to think clearly about behaviors and their effectiveness or we can look at the harm that specific behaviors cause and develop a strategy to overcome that obstacle no matter what it is. I am a warm and compassionate therapist who puts the client first. This starts with the initial intake with me and continues to grow the therapeutic relationship as we develop the treatment plan and begin to tackle situations as they occur the client will develop the skills to address a wide array of life’s situations and circumstances.
