Great to meet you!

I am trained with a deep and nuanced understanding of trauma and its impact on the mind, body, and relationships. I recognize that trauma can shape how we see ourselves, how we connect with others, and how we respond to stress and difficult emotions. These experiences can influence patterns in our thoughts, behaviors, and relationships, often in ways that are not always immediately visible.

In our work together, we will approach these experiences with care, patience, and curiosity. Together, we will create a plan that feels thoughtful, empowering, and tailored to your unique journey toward healing. My goal is to support you in building greater awareness, strengthening coping skills, and reconnecting with a sense of safety, resilience, and self-trust.

My approach to therapy

My approach is very nonjudgmental, which should be a given in therapy, but I truly mean it. I want clients to know that this is a space where they can speak openly without fear of being criticized, dismissed, or misunderstood. I often tell clients that nothing you could share in our sessions would ever be “too much,” too “bad,” “ugly,” or wrong to talk about.

Open-mindedness is a core part of our therapeutic dynamic. My goal is to create an environment where you feel safe bringing your full, honest experience into the room, knowing it will be met with curiosity, respect, and compassion. From that place of openness, we can begin to explore what’s been weighing on you and work together toward understanding, growth, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Before our first meeting, I ask that you complete the intake that gives me some intro to medium-level information about you. In our first session, I start by asking about your past relationship to therapy (if applicable), then I love to provide the expectations of working with me, and of therapy in general, and I'll explain that while I usually have some questions, curiosities, and comments from the intake, we can go wherever the conversation takes us - we are just meeting after all. So it's important to make sure it feels comfortable, not stiff, and no agenda.
