Great to meet you!
My name is Evelyn Majachani, and I am a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (across the lifespan), PMHNP-BC. I received my Master of Science in Nursing and my postgraduate certification from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri.
I worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), seeing patients of all ages at Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in North Carolina, providing comprehensive primary care to underserved communities, before transitioning to psychiatry.
I currently work as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in both the outpatient clinic and hospital settings via telehealth, seeing adult patients with a variety of psychiatric conditions, including but not limited to depressive disorders, mood disorders such as bipolar, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and substance use disorders.
I have also worked as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with clients in settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and independent living communities in NC, managing medications and coordinating long-term care plans. I also worked as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with an assertive community treatment (ACT) team, providing services to communities in North Carolina. I provided medication management services to patients with conditions that included major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder to optimize patient health and wellness.
