Great to meet you!

My name is Eyob Legesse, and I am a Board‐Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I received my education in psychiatric nursing at Gonzaga University. I bring more than a decade of experience supporting individuals across a wide range of care settings. My career began by providing hands‐on direct caregiving, where I learned the importance of dignity, patience, and genuine human connection. I later built my nursing career with a strong nursing foundation in long‐term care and acute psychiatric hospital environments, gaining extensive experience in crisis stabilization and complex mental health and medical comorbidities that require collaborative and team‐based care.

Alongside my clinical work, I have led successful home‐ and community‐based residential programs, enabling my leadership and collaborative skills.

Clients should know that I bring not only clinical expertise, but also a sincere respect for the unique stories, cultural identities, and personal strengths each person carries.

At my core, I am someone who values authenticity, compassion, and partnership. I want clients to feel safe, understood, and supported from the moment we begin working together.

My approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in whole‐person, culturally responsive, and collaborative care. I believe mental health treatment should honor the emotional, physical, cultural, and spiritual dimensions of a person’s life. I integrate evidence‐based psychiatric practice with a warm, human‐centered philosophy that recognizes each person's individuality and resilience.

I see treatment as a shared process. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and work with clients to identify what matters most to them. Whether we are exploring symptoms, discussing medication options, or navigating life challenges, I aim to provide care that is transparent, respectful, and tailored to each person’s needs and values.

Compassion, cultural humility, and empowerment guide my work. My goal is to help clients feel informed, confident, and actively involved in their care.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a calm, welcoming, and collaborative first session. I take time to understand who they are beyond their symptoms, what they have experienced, what they value, and what they hope to achieve. The initial visit includes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, where we explore current concerns, personal and medical history, and any cultural or environmental factors that may influence their situation.

The pace is thoughtful and unrushed. I encourage clients to ask questions, share concerns, and express what feels important to them. I explain my impressions clearly and discuss potential treatment options in a way that supports understanding and comfort.

By the end of the session, clients will have a sense of direction and a partner in their care. My intention is for them to leave feeling heard, respected, and hopeful about the path ahead.
