Florence (Lore) Owen

Welcome to Greater Peace Counseling, PLLC!

My name is Florence "Lore" Owen, and I have over 9 years of experience with individuals and their families, presenting with a variety of needs and challenges. I enjoy working with adults, but I have a passion for helping children and adolescents develop positive strategies toward becoming healthy adults. I completed my Masters of Professional Counseling Degree at Liberty University, so I am qualified to offer Faith-enhanced counseling, if desired.

I typically use tenets from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, and other client-centered approaches, in order to meet the unique needs and challenges of each client. As mentioned previously, I do offer Faith-enhanced counseling, on request.

Your first session will consist of a comprehensive clinical assessment in order to pinpoint areas of concern, when your challenges began, and how your symptoms impact your quality of life. You and I will then work together to create a unique treatment plan with goals to work toward, which are catered to your specific needs. In the weeks ahead, I will help you to develop strategies and coping skills to meet your therapeutic goals!
