Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and major life changes.
I'm especially drawn to working with people who want to better understand themselves and why they respond to things the way they do. I'm interested in what's underneath the problem that brought you to therapy, not just how to make it go away. We may notice patterns in your relationships, make connections to earlier experiences, or get curious about why something affects you as strongly as it does. I'll share what I'm noticing or wondering, but I won't assume I know you better than you know yourself!
The first session is mostly about getting to know you and getting a sense of what brought you to therapy. I'll ask about what's been going on recently, as well as some of your experiences that have shaped who you are. There is no pressure to arrive with your goals figured out. Sometimes understanding what you want from therapy is part of the work itself.
