Great to meet you!

Welcome! Choosing a counselor is an extremely important decision, and trust and a good fit are essential to success. This process is built on warmth, respect, empathy, attunement, and honesty—each an integral part of the healing journey.

I have worked in mental and behavioral health for more than 18 years. Across a variety of settings, including outpatient mental health clinics, higher education, private practice, and nonprofit organizations—I have developed an eclectic skill set for supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds.

I provide solution-focused therapy centered on helping you better recognize challenging patterns, so you can nurture meaningful change. Obstacles to change can be subtle and often almost undetectable. Together, we will explore these challenges objectively, so you can act on solutions.

We will set goals, identify strengths, gain insight into maladaptive behaviors, challenge negative thought patterns, and build new skills to help you reach your desired outcomes.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic and client-centered, meaning we focus on the whole person, not just the symptoms. Together, we explore how your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and life experiences intersect, while also considering stress, rest, routines, and the environment you’re navigating. I blend practical, solution-focused strategies with deeper insight to help you identify patterns, build coping skills, and create meaningful, sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be welcoming, supportive, and paced at a level that feels comfortable. We’ll spend time getting to know what brought you in, what you’ve been experiencing emotionally and physically, and what you want therapy to help you improve. I’ll ask questions about your history, current stressors, relationships, coping strategies, and any past counseling experiences so I can understand the full picture.
