Great to meet you!

My clients describe me as warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, while still actively and directly guiding them in solution-oriented work. I bring just enough humor to keep therapy playful, and to make even the hardest work doable!

I have nearly three decades of experience helping adults navigate trauma, self-esteem struggles, difficult relationships (including parenting and marriage,) spiritual concerns, anxiety, mood issues, and major life transitions.

It is my honor to walk beside each client on their healing journey!

My approach to therapy

I believe that “we are wounded in relationship and we heal in relationship.” The foundation of my approach is building a safe, authentic therapeutic relationship where you can feel genuinely seen and supported. That not only sets the stage for growth, but is healing in itself.

Since insight and venting alone aren’t enough for lasting change, I incorporate expressive and creative approaches, such as psychodrama, narrative sand tray and somatic work, which can reach depths that talk therapy often cannot.

I hold a deep belief — knowledge, really — that transformation is possible, even when we have been stuck in unhealthy patterns for years.

What you can expect from me

We all deserve someone who believes in us, who sees and highlights our unique strengths and goodness, and who helps us uncover our innate positivity, wisdom and resilience. It is my privilege to be that guide for my clients.

You can expect more than just a place to talk. You will gain practical tools, new perspectives and approaches, and the felt experience of being supported in doing courageous, life-changing work.

Over time, you can release self-defeating beliefs and patterns, step into new possibilities, and reconnect with your best self. Many clients tell me therapy helps them feel happier, calmer, lighter, clearer, and more empowered — not only to cope with life’s challenges — but rather to thrive!
