Great to meet you!

BA in psychology & MA in Counseling from University of Maryland. PhD in Counseling from Cornell University. Clinical intern at Cornell Counseling Center, Univ Southern California and Univ. of District of Columbia Counseling Center and Chaplain Intern for NIH Medical Center. Served in public and private sectors offering individual, couples and group therapy, Dissertation research examined characteristics for effective cross-cultural therapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client centered, in that my goal is to listen to the client and allow what is shared to shape my approach. I feel it important to adjust my approach to the client rather than force the client to fit the mold of the latest iteration of therapy. Thus, my approach may be somewhat eclectic. I also often give home assignments so that the process continues between sessions.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to be challenged to explore/consider not only their identified issue of concern but also consider alternative perspectives. The therapeutic process will in a sense expand their view.
