I’m Gayduo Barr, DNP, CRNP-PMH, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I know that reaching out for mental health support can feel like a big step, and I want my patients to feel comfortable being themselves from the very first conversation. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. My job is to listen, understand what you’re going through, and help you find a path forward.
I’m compassionate, approachable, and collaborative in the way I provide care. I take time to get to know you as a person, not just your symptoms, and I believe you should have a voice in your treatment. Whether we’re discussing medication, lifestyle changes, or other ways to support your well-being, we’ll find an approach that fits your needs and goals.
During our first session, we’ll talk about what has been going on, what you’d like to change, and any questions or concerns you have about treatment. I’ll also learn about your medical and mental health history so we can create a plan together. Most importantly, I want you to leave feeling heard, understood, and comfortable with what comes next.
