Great to meet you!

Seeking therapy can be anxiety provoking. But it can also create welcome change. When I initially speak with clients, I want to hear their story; where they have been and where they want to go. As a team, I want to help them get there. I see the relationship between a client and therapist as a collaboration of efforts. We create a team based approach, where I can help a client "connect the dots" to gain a better understanding of their every day life experiences and challenges.

I graduated from MSU with my BSW, and then received my MSW from U-M. I have been practicing for about 30 years. I specialize in anxiety/depression, parent guidance, grief, coping, trauma, relationship issues and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

My approach is one of using psychodynamic and nonjudgemental methods. I offer a free 15 minute consultation to listen and see if we would be a good fit. Even though I work remotely, I can be seen at MSU and U-M events with my therapy dog Ichabod. Please reach out to me and introduce yourself. I look forward to meeting you!

What you can expect from me

I approach the first, and every session in a very informal manner. while we are getting to know each other, I may ask a lot of questions to gather information of what a client's journey has been. This is a team approach as I like it to be client guided where the client tells me what they think is important as well as helping me gather information. After that, we work together to create goals.
