Great to meet you!

Sleep problems, anxiety, and trauma rarely travel alone — and they rarely resolve with a single approach. I specialize in this cluster of challenges, bringing both clinical depth and a range of specialized tools to help adults who feel stuck finally start moving.

I'm an LCSW trained at the University of Pittsburgh with 12 active clients and room for more. I work with adults on trauma, PTSD, anxiety, OCD, panic, sleep disorders, depression, and BPD — through both in-person sessions in Somerset, PA and telehealth across Pennsylvania, Florida, and North Carolina through PA Counseling.

If you've been looking for a therapist with genuine expertise in trauma and sleep — not just general anxiety support — you're in the right place.

My approach to therapy

My two primary trauma tools are EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) — and I use them because the research supports them and, more importantly, because I've seen them work.

EMDR helps the brain reprocess stuck traumatic memories — without requiring you to talk through every painful detail. IFS helps you understand the different parts of yourself that carry old pain, fear, or protective patterns, and build a different relationship with them. Together, these approaches often reach what talk therapy alone doesn't.

For OCD, anxiety, and panic, I use CBT and Trauma-Focused CBT. For clients whose PTSD intersects with relationship dynamics, I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy — one of the few evidence-based approaches that includes a partner in the healing process.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly about being heard. I'll ask what's brought you here, what's been going on, and what matters most to get moving on — and I'll listen before I suggest anything.

By the end, we'll have a clearer picture of what we're working with and where to start. Most people leave the first session with a genuine sense that something can actually change — not just hope, but a real direction.
