Great to meet you!

I started my career in mental health by growing up around the counseling agency my mother created in the 1980s. I was exposed to the process of interpersonal change from an early age, and was able to learn by watching and learning from outstanding compassionate therapists.

My career has taken many forms; working in residential facilities, outpatient clinics, family homes, and wilderness settings. Most recently, I completed a two-year certification process in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a powerful intervention in assisting people struggling with trauma and other problematic processes. Through it all, I have only become more inspired by individual capacities to heal and change in ways that make sense to them.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in the idea that each individual possesses the inherent capacity for healing. My role is to assist people in unlocking their own potential to heal wounds, identify pathways for change, and to find authentic self-compassion.

What you can expect from me

When you connect with me for the first time, you can expect an atmosphere of non-judgement and universal acceptance. You will be afforded the opportunity to discuss as much as you'd like, but not pressured to go further than you are comfortable. I like to get to know each client's whole person ~ not just the problems they are experiencing.
