Great to meet you!

You’ve spent years protecting everyone else—your children, your partner, your household, and your career. It’s time to build a life you don’t have to constantly try to escape from. Real strength isn’t enduring a toxic cycle or silently surrendering your happiness; real strength is choosing the blueprint for your next chapter. If you are a dedicated father or mother quietly burning out to keep a fragile family dynamic intact, or a parent enduring the crushing grief of child estrangement, you do not have to carry this heavy isolation alone anymore.

For years, you may have believed that self-sacrifice was the ultimate proof of love. Society tells fathers to suppress their pain and keep producing, while telling mothers to give until they have nothing left. But holding everything together behind closed doors comes at a steep price. You end up feeling like an outsider in your own home, exhausted by the relentless pressure, or operating on autopilot. That persistent weight in your chest isn't a failure—it is your original self reminding you that protecting your family shouldn't require destroying your own mental health.

Clients who work with me quickly realize that I am not a passive therapist who sits in silence and nods. As a published author and clinician, I am a grounded, empathetic, and direct partner who deeply respects your time and intelligence. My practice is built around structured, real-world solutions rather than endless, circular processing. I bring warmth, clinical expertise, and enough practical humor into the room to immediately take the edge off the stress you've been carrying.

By taking this step to reclaim your emotional stability, identity, and personal peace, you aren't being selfish—you are becoming the steady, grounded leader and parent your family actually needs. Reaching out is often the hardest part, but you have already taken the first step. Let's begin rebuilding your peace today.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is not about dwelling indefinitely on the past or getting stuck in endless loops of emotional venting. It is a strategic, solution-focused partnership designed to help you regain your emotional edge and build actionable tools for long-term peace. My approach bridges the gap between deep, compassionate empathy and practical execution. We move beyond basic talk therapy into structured, evidence-based methods that yield measurable changes in how you think, feel, and show up in your daily life.

I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and REBT with active, experiential techniques. What this means for you is simple: we don't just talk about your problems; we actively map out why they are happening and how to fix them. CBT helps us identify and dismantle the automatic, destructive thought patterns that keep you feeling trapped or defensive. DBT provides concrete, hands-on skills for mastering emotional regulation and navigating intense distress without reacting in ways you later regret.

For parents navigating high-conflict relationships, co-parenting struggles, or the painful reality of estrangement, emotional triggers can feel overwhelming. Through experiential methods, we practice real-time strategies to handle high-stress situations. We work on setting firm, healthy boundaries, breaking subtle cycles of people-pleasing, and mastering communication styles that de-escalate tension. If substance use, anger, or chronic stress have become your primary ways of coping with a bad dynamic, we gently replace those survival habits with healthier, sustainable strategies.

Every session is tailored to your unique goals and strengths. Together, we focus on helping you cultivate deep emotional resilience, restore your confidence, and create a home environment that feels calm, stable, and truly fulfilling.
