Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Gigi and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (or LPC) with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley California.

With a deep desire to help people communicate (with themselves and with others), I offer a warm, calming, nonjudgmental approach sensitive to your individual needs and focused on helping you gain the clarity, healing and equanimity you may be seeking.

When we take time for ourselves to connect and reflect in a safe and supportive environment, we give ourselves the time and attention we deserve to understand things from clearer vantage points. Utilizing compassionate inquiry and processes that foster self-exploration, we’ll work together to identify your strengths, and the resources that have helped you on your journey thus far, while also working to uncover any limiting processes or patterns that may be holding back.

My approach to therapy

My orientation is psychodynamic in nature, client-centered and trauma informed. I offer a culturally sensitive lens integrating a variety of evidence-based practices, including mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, emotionally focused therapy and solution focused therapy. I am also trained in EMDR and Developmental Couples Therapy.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create an empowering, nonjudgmental space for you to feel comfortable exploring the challenges you may be facing.

Together we’ll come up with strategies and tools to strengthen self-awareness, improve resilience, heal from the past and move forward with confidence and a greater sense of wellbeing. You'll gain an understanding on how our past impacts our present and how limiting beliefs can hold us back from the very things that we may be striving for.

Whether you are new to therapy or have previously worked with other counselors or therapists, my focus is to provide you with a supportive and therapeutic platform in which to explore and understand yourself, your relationships, the challenges you have overcome and the challenges you find yourself currently experiencing.

“It may be that when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey.” ~ Wendell Berry
