Great to meet you!

I am warm, genuine, a Mixed Asian/Native Hawaiian, married, a mother, grandmother, doctoral level therapist trained to work with crisis intervention, severe mental illness, and personality disorders. I have worked with the chronically ill and substance dependent. I provide brief therapies, cognitive behavioral treatment, and trauma-based interventions.

My approach to therapy

I focus on welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable to talk about their concerns and the areas of life most important to them. I meet my clients where they are and essentially walk with them in exploring their fears and the barriers they face. In my sessions, I provide psychoeducation and take into account their strengths and weakness as well as other factors to increase their behavioral health and self-efficacy.

What you can expect from me

I will be welcoming and seek to put you at ease, I will ask off-the-bat, what you hope to get out of therapy. I will

answer any questions you may have about treatment. We'll talk about psychotherapy risks and potential benefits, what your role will be, and what to expect from me.
