Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed psychologist specializing in supporting parents and caregivers of teens and young adults with complex mental health needs, including behavioral, attachment, and safety concerns. I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, now Alliant University. My background includes child and adolescent mental health, community mental health, integrated behavioral healthcare, and private practice. I provide individual therapy to adults through virtual sessions in Colorado and Hawaii.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical, grounded in trauma-informed and attachment-focused care. Our work centers on your experience as a parent or caregiver, including caregiver strain, the impact of repeated crises, and how your own history may shape your relationships and responses. I help you process difficult emotions, manage anxiety, and respond to your teen or young adult with greater clarity and confidence. I also support you in making informed treatment decisions and navigating the complex systems involved in their care.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to share what brings you to therapy, discuss what feels most urgent, and ask questions about the therapy process and consent forms. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you don’t have to explain everything at once. We’ll clarify that this is your therapy—a place to focus on your own needs and well-being as a parent or caregiver. Together, we’ll identify initial goals and explore whether we’re a good fit. Those goals may include feeling less overwhelmed, strengthening boundaries, and deciding how to support others in ways that are sustainable for you.
